'Rockstar' rocks in Apsara Awards nominations

Ranbir Kapoor's 'Rockstar' has bagged 13 nominations in the upcoming Chevrolet Apsara Film and Television Producers Guild Awards 2012. The other movies that are competing with 'Rockstar' include 'The Dirty Picture', 'Singham', 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' and 'Murder 2'. Earlier too, 'Rockstar' had successfully bagged several awards at Screen. Ranbir Kapoor was presented with 'Best Male Actor', A. R. Rahman was granted the 'Best Music Composer Award' and Mohit Chauhan was presented with the 'Best Male Playback Singer' for 'Rockstar'.

Even filmmaker Imtiaz Ali successfully bagged the Best Director Award at Screen. Apparently, 'Rockstar' was one of the blockbuster hits of 2011. It also marked the Bollywood debut of Pakistani Czech model Nargis Fakhri. Though the film bagged mixed reviews from critics, Ranbir Kapoor was one name who profited a lot from the movie. 'Rockstar' speaks about a journey of an individual who aspires to become a big star.
