Tamil film producers cancels film shootings this Monday
In the wake of the announcement by Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) with regard to raising the wages of its members working in Tamil filmdom, the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) today said that they would hold an emergency General Council Meeting on Monday to discuss the issue.
Hence, there would be no shootings on the day, a press release here said.
'FEFSI has announced its decision without consulting the TFPC. This has shocked many producers.
For several years, any decision on such issues has been taken after consultations and dialogues.'
The emergency meeting has been convened to discuss future strategy and arrive at pay structure after discussions, the release added.
