As way2movies reported viewers earlier, Shankar's Nanban and Lingusamy's Vettai are releasing for this Pongal to grab the holiday audiences.

The two veteran directors, who know the pulse of the audiences and know that the movies releasing for festival vacation would take hold of good Box-office revenue, releasing Nanban and Vettai on festive season.

Director Shankar on the occasion of New Year called up Vettai's director Lingusamy and wished him and success of his Vettai.

Lingusamy while speaking to press in Chennai told "Shankar sir is my Nanban and also a role model. Besides being a great director he is also a wonderful human being. It was so nice to hear from Shankar sir when he called me up and wished us luck for Vettai."
