Dhanush to compete for PETA contest
Dhanush, besides being a National award winning actor and best singer recently, is now competing with hot stars in Bollywood to win the 'India's Hottest Vegetarian Celebrity of 2011.'
Dhanush is now teaching about Vegetarianism and Peace to the society, besides being busy with his regular work. The star has taken early lead in the vegetarian celebrity contest being conducted by People for Ethical Treatment of Animals, popularly known as PETA.
The most popular Bollywood actors and actresses Amitabh Bachchan, Mallika Sherawat, Kareena Kapoor, Hema Malini, Ayesha Takia, Vidya Balan and Sonu Sood are participating in the contest along with Dhanush.
PETA India Chief Functionary Poorva Joshipura said "The contest winner will be decided, by the number of votes they receive and the results would be announced in January." Joshipura adds "Vegitarians save more than 100 animals lives a year and also are less prone to obesity."
