Salman Khan outsmarts Ashutosh
Like any other filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker too wants to make a film with current superstar Salman Khan. Reportedly the highly acclaimed director also approached him to star in one of his forthcoming films.
Any person in Salman's place would have had jumped at the opportunity citing the fact that Ashutosh's film have always proved a winner for its protagonist. Be it 'Swades', 'Lagaan' or 'Jodhaa Akbar' his films have earned protagonist Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan a cult status through the aforementioned ventures. But Salman being the unexpected person that he is, refused to follow the trend.
He shunned Ashutosh by refusing to star in his film. Salman in his justification quoted, "I do films that make money not the ones which have the potential to win awards". Also he apparently refused the film on the grounds of Ashutosh's working pattern.
Salman declared that he works as per his schedule and doesn't follows any body else's dictate. And as Ashutosh holds a record of making the stars work as per his direction, he (Salman) would not be able to work with him. However when Ashutosh was confronted with the news, he refused to accept it and shunned it as a rumor.
