Veena Malik breathes a sigh of relief
Pakistani Actor, Veena Malik might be breathing a sigh of relief now as the Pakistan Court has rejected a lawyer's plea to file charges of Obscenity and Sedition towards the actor and also to confiscate the actor's passport. The lawyer Salimullah Khan filed the petition against the actor in Islamabad High Court. The controversy sparked off as the actor got clicked with naked pictures for an International Magazine's Cover page and therefore the lawyer felt that the actor should be tried under charges of sedition, defamation, obscenity.
However the court has rejected this plea of the lawyer reasoning that they cannot take any action against the actor as the pictures have been taken in another country. The Pakistani lawyer claimed that the actor had posed nude whereas the Pakistani actor denied the lawyers' claim by stating that the pictures have been morphed.
