Super Star Rajinikanth who is celebrating his 62nd birthday today at an undisclosed place is likely to receive India's second highest civilian award Padma Vibhushan for his services to Indian Film Industry shortly. The news has been confirmed by veteran producer S Ramanadhan who produced good number of hits with Rajinikanth in the past. Earlier, Rajini was honored by the Indian Government with Padma Bhushan in 2000.

Rajini was introduced to films by Dadasaheb Phalke award recipient K Balachander. The actor so far acted in over 150 films. His dialogue delivery, style and charisma are unmatchable. Being a Super Star he lives a very simple life. Rajini also worked as a producer and screenwriter. He is the most popular South Indian actor of most his time. He has millions of fans across the globe. He shares a good friendship with another legendary actor Kamal Hassan. Both have acted in several films which have become blockbusters at box-office.

Rajini is set to start shooting for his new film Kochadayaan shortly.
